Sue Woodward AM was appointed as the new Commissioner of the Australian Charities and Not-for-profit Commissions (ACNC) in November 2022 and has left her position as chief adviser of Not-for-profit Law. Read more.
Sue was the driving force behind the establishment of Not-for-profit Law in 2008 and was the inaugural Director, Policy & Education at the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission.
Sue has been involved in researching and advocating on legal and regulatory issues of importance to Australia’s not-for-profit sector for over 18 years. Sue is a lawyer who has been involved in many community groups and on the board of both start-up and well-established charities.
